YouTubeDownload privacy policy
YouTubeDownload is built so there is very little to protect: your files are never stored, and there are no accounts. Here is exactly what that means.
The short version
Files you upload or fetch through YouTubeDownload are processed temporarily and deleted immediately. They are never stored, never viewed by us and never shared. There are no user accounts, so there are no profiles of you or your files. Some tools run entirely in your browser, and for those your file never leaves your device at all.
What we do collect
- Aggregate operational statistics — counts of page views and tool uses (for example, how many times a tool ran today). These are totals used to decide which tools to improve; they are not tied to your files.
- Standard server logs — like every website, our servers record technical entries (IP address, browser type, timestamps, pages requested) used for security, abuse prevention and rate limiting.
- An email address only if you give us one — for example, if you join a waitlist on the site, we keep that address for that purpose. We never ask for an email to use the tools.
What we never collect
We do not keep copies of uploaded or downloaded files, we do not build user profiles, and we do not sell personal information — there is almost none here to sell.
Advertising and cookies
YouTubeDownload is free and supported by advertising. We work with advertising and affiliate partners — including Google AdSense, Adsterra and CJ Affiliate — and those partners may use cookies or similar technologies to serve and measure ads, including ads based on your visits to this and other sites. Sponsored slots on this site are labeled "Advertisement", and outbound sponsored links are affiliate links. You can control or clear cookies at any time in your browser settings; the tools work the same either way. Google's use of advertising cookies is described in Google's own privacy documentation.
Third-party links
Our pages link to third-party sites (for example, the platforms you download from and our sponsors). We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those sites — check their policies if that matters to you.
Rights holders
YouTubeDownload hosts no content and stores no files. If you are a rights holder with a concern — including a copyright (DMCA) notice — contact us below and we will respond promptly.
